Peacefair Pzem-051 - Manual
Ensure the wiring is secure and not losing power, as temporary power loss may cause settings to reset if not saved properly.
Wire Pin 1 ( V+ ) to the positive terminal of your DC power supply.
: Allows you to set a voltage alarm threshold. peacefair pzem-051 manual
The PZEM-051 uses an external , which is essentially a low-resistance precision resistor. When current flows through the shunt, a small voltage (millivolts) is developed across it, which is directly proportional to the current. The meter measures this voltage drop and converts it to a current reading. The 50A and 100A shunts used with this meter are both rated to output 75mV at their full current rating.
Connects to the power source side of the shunt. Ensure the wiring is secure and not losing
Allows setting a high voltage threshold. The backlight and voltage display will flash to warn of over-voltage.
The 100A version must be connected to an external shunt before powering on to avoid damaging the meter. The PZEM-051 uses an external , which is
| Problem | Possible Causes & Solutions | | :--- | :--- | | | 1. Power Supply : Ensure the DC voltage applied to the B+ and B- terminals is within the operating range of 6.5V to 100V. 2. Wiring : Check the B+ and B- connections to the power source for security and correct polarity. 3. Device Fault : If power and connections are good, the meter may be faulty. | | Inaccurate Current Reading | 1. Shunt Configuration : Verify the meter is configured for the correct shunt rating (50A or 100A) in the settings menu. 2. Wiring : Confirm that the P- wire is connected to the correct side of the shunt (the load side). The small wires from the shunt to the meter must be connected securely. 3. Shunt Rating : Check that the shunt's rating matches the meter's configuration. | | Voltage Reading is Wrong | 1. Wiring : Verify the B+ and B- connections from the meter are securely connected to the positive and negative terminals of the DC power source. 2. Connection Point : If the meter is wired after a long cable, voltage drop may be a factor. | | Cannot Reset Energy | Operation : Ensure you are following the correct two-step reset procedure (hold for CLr , then short press). | | Backlight Not Working | 1. Backlight State : Briefly press the button to toggle the backlight on/off. It may have been turned off. 2. Power Supply : The backlight increases the meter's current draw. Ensure the power supply can handle this. |
